If you want to succeed in life you have two choices — you could carve a path for yourself or you could walk the well trodden path. For the smart, however, there is another choice. You could learn from those who have made a name for themselves and then use them in your life. Let us take a look at some of them.
Bernie Ecclestone, the boss of Formula One, feels that the secret to his success lies in his passion. His advice to others is to “be honest and honourable and, if you make a deal, stick to it” (Source: http://on-msn.com/WUWuIF). He feels that it is his burning need to pursue his passion that keeps him going. The day he feels he cannot deliver enough, he will bow out and find something else to do instead.
Charlie Munger, the business partner of Warren Buffet, has made a name for himself as a very successful investor. He has set out three “nearly impossible” rules that one should at least try to maintain:
- Sell what you would be interested in buying
- Do not work for people you do not respect
- Work with people who you enjoy working with
These are some of the rich men who have made a name for themselves in their respective fields. But there is a lot of learn from them that will come in handy for life in general.
